Hazel Ruth

Hazel Ruth  is about 16" tall and at her legs is about 10" wide. She has the pose of a sitting down baby with bent knees. Hazel Ruth's legs and arms are button jointed. Notice her adorable separate attached head and the needle sculpted proportions of her face, fingers and toes.  She has pretty painted finger and toe nails. Hazel Ruth is made from Onasburg fabric that is paint stained in various stages. She is partially rag stuffed as I think this gives more weight to the doll.

Bessy Anne  is about 16" tall and at her legs is about 10" wide. She has the pose of a sitting down baby with bent knees. Bessy Anne's legs and arms are button jointed. Notice her adorable separate attached head and the needle sculpted proportions of her face, fingers and toes.  She has pretty painted finger and toe nails. She is partially rag stuffed as I think this gives more weight to the doll.  My dolls are unique and rather large for their size.

Artwork Devotion Day

It felt awesome to devote the day to artwork.

Lots of projects started today. When you live in a fifth wheel trailer you do try to do things in stages. 

So today was a drawing out the projects that needed to be sewn and sewing them up.

*** Merry Christmas Joy *** Doll Set

Merry loves Christmas with the rich aroma of spices and pine needles filling the air. Her eyes shine as she watches all the lights sparkle.  Merry hums Christmas carols while holding her doll Ginger close.

It has been such a long time since I have made one of my Sundolls. So next week or if can swing it this week I will be making a Sun doll. Might do a moon man with her or a Sun doll child. Hmmmmm

Here is one of my sun dolls as you can see it was made in 2008.

This one will have button eyes as that has been a request. Most of my dolls now a days have painted eyes but some of my customers like the dolls with button eyes. So look for some dolls maybe even a few black dolls to have button eyes in the future. 

Thought I might show you a few of my button eye dolls from the past. 

Lots of ideas

Enjoying the creativity swimming around in my head and working it's way out in hands on creations. 

I have a little black girl in the works. I do not do Caucasian dolls very often but my Mother Goose Pfatt Challenge doll is a Caucasion doll.This doll will follow the Mother Goose Rhythm of Mary's Canary. I also have another Mary's Canary doll in my mind that will find it's way to creation. 

MARY'S CANARY

Mary had a pretty bird,
Feathers bright and yellow,
Slender legs--upon my word
He was a pretty fellow!

The sweetest note he always sung,
Which much delighted Mary.
She often, where the cage was hung,
Sat hearing her canary.

I also have a new needle punch doll that I will be working on soon. 

Let me know if you want me to try my hand at making any of these punch needle dolls into patterns.

New Halloween creations

I have been working on many things over the last week.

Look for a new little black girl with a rug hooked bees.

Been playing with making Jack-O-Lanterns. Look for a couple different kinds including a Lumina pumpkin.

Last but not least I have new witches.

One of these I will be sending in for submission to Prims Magazine. 

The other will be going on Halloween Queens Castle Bootique.

I am looking forward to creating some new and exciting things this week.

It is great to be back in Colorado again!!!!!

Will have a new black doll on the Market soon. She is as sweet as can be. 

This one has an adorable skunk in her lap.

The Queen of hearts and Queen of spades dolls are coming along nicely. I am playing with a few idea's to incorporate the clubs and diamond cards into this set. Not sure whether these dolls will go together or be sold in two sets.
