Today Finds us

We are enjoying our time at Elephant Lake State Park in New Mexico. Waiting for warmer tempatures in Colorado.

There are many birds here in the park.
Doves
Black Birds
Sparrows
Wood Peckers
Road Runners
Gamble Quails
Pyrrhuloxia or a Desert Cardinal
Ravens
Finches

Plus there are Jack rabbits and cotton tails.

We have enjoyed watching the wildlife.

I am busy setting up and writing the tutorial for my Rug Hooked Bee Skep.
There is still time to enroll.

Moving Back Yards again

Today finds us moving again. We are headed to Las Cruces New Mexico for a few days. Will be rather busy as we will once more go to our favorite book store and our fav Mexican restaurant. I will stay away from the Prickly Pear Margarita though. I was so sick after drinking one of those. Some thing in that drink really didn't like me. Of course we will hit the big stores while there.

Not sure whether we will be headed Percha Dam or Elephant Butte after our stop at Las Cruces.

Have a great day everyone.

On the Move Again

We have left Arizona and are now in New Mexico. It is cold here!!! But we see the pretty city lights of Deming below us all a glitter. Very pretty here. It is a good day for rug hooking under my Big Huge Rug. :-) But will probably start my 3-D dimensional piece today. If the colors I have work it should hook up quickly. But if not will be dyeing some wool.

Just saw our first quail for this trip. It is a scaled quail. Click here to see a photo of a scaled quail. They are so much fun to watch.
