Welcome to BeFruitful Kreations by artist JoEllen Laurita where primitive artwork is my passion. For many years now I have been designing and sharing my primitive whimsical artwork. You will find that I like several art forms. Primitive dolls will always hold my heart, but you will see rug hooked creations, many of them dimensional, seasonal folk art, punch needle creations and much more.
We finally made a decision about the siding to put on the garage. We choose a rustic channel spf 1x8 wood siding. Should be really pretty after we put it up.
I am dyeing some wool for my next 3-d rug hooking project. Have the wool soaking right now and will dye tomorrow. Or that is the plan. Going to try my hand at an old gold. I have been wanting to dye wool all summer.
Want to find some time to hook on my BHR challenge rug. The update is coming up in October and I have hardly anything hooked on it.
Thanks to all of the ladies who wrote me a comment on the changes to my blog look post.
Hugs to you all, JoEllen
Oh I think I am going to like this old gold color. Yes indeed. Now if it will work for what I want it to work for.
I finally was able to start working on another Dimensional Rug Hooking project. I finished the designing of it yesterday and finally drew it out. I hope to hook some on it today. If all goes as I would like and it turns out right this will be my next pattern. Just post a message here or join my mailing list to be notified when the pattern becomes available. Just email me and I will let you know what the new design is.
I have several ideas for Dimensional Rug Hooking in my mind. Once our garage is finished I should have a lot more time to devote to artwork.
As you can see in the pictures this Eagle is free standing. The Eagle is over 14" long. I love the art of 3 Dimensional Rug Hooking. You can create so many fun things. I do have an Eagle Available for purchase. Contact me for photos and information on how to purchase.
My first pattern was the dimensional pumpkin. It is a huge pumpkin made in fun fall colors. Then the Indian Corn display. I also have a pattern for Easter Eggs. Look for some more Rug Hooking patterns to come.
Before you know it we will head south for the winter. But for the time being we are still building the garage. We are working on putting the metal roof on. Hubby David fell off the ladder so things have slowed up a bit as he hurt his drilling hand.
We have been watching the fawns grow bigger and bigger. In fact two does just brought their three little ones by the fifth wheel. It is still a little to dark for photos this morning. The little ones are about half the size of momma now. So cute. these three fawns are just outside the window.
I really do hope to start crafting again very soon. Many patterns to make. I hope to have Halloween items up for sale shortly. In the near future some more 3 dimensional rug hooking pieces. Plus more dolls to come.
Please do sign up for my mailing list so I can update you when things start rolling again craft wise.
